| In the current technological environment, the book, both in the codex form and in screen-based formats, remains a major vehicle of editorial content. This course undertakes a study of systems and structures fundamental to the creation and design of editorial material in the context of the book. Students will undertake an examination of the requirements of book design in terms of audience, of content, and of visual and logical structures. Students are introduced to the analysis, creation, environment and current practices in the practice of book design. |
