| This course explores various approaches to generating concepts for the development of fibre based art/design. Students will investigate issues such as ritual, scale, the body, language and imagery as means to process and create meaningful work. Studio experiments, demonstrations and discussions will lead to students applying conventional and alternative fibre materials and structures in the development of both two- and three-dimensional pieces. Visual presentations of contemporary artists/designers working with these approaches are included. |
